Schaller M6 Locking Machines Heads is the perfect replacement or upgrade for your guitar tuners. The locking machine head not only make it easier to change strings, but will help stabilise tuning. This means you can play for longer without having to worry about the strings slipping and falling out of tune, it could even lead to less wear and tear on them. They come at a 1 : 16 ratio which makes the tuning process much more smoother and precise. Schaller is a favourite at Rich Tone Music, used by a lot of the staff and customers here for guitar part replacements, and is also used amongst the big guitar brands such as Gibson. The M6 Locking Machine Heads come in a lovely chrome finish as well, adding a bit of sparkle to any guitar.
With this tuner the string is locked in the shaft by a handy knurled nut located on the rear of the peghead, resulting in a low overall height. 6-in-line models with two different shaft lengths (staggered). Gear ratio 1:16.
Available in two housing versions:
1. Screw mount with 135° lug
2. Pin lock
For thicker headstocks, our locking machine head is also available on request with a shaft length of 21mm instead of 18.5 or 19.5mm (staggered).
The banjo bolt has a standard length of 13mm; alternatively, it can be supplied with a 12mm or 16mm length as desired (please see under Products/Product help/Guidelines/Machine Heads).
