Fender Hot Noiseless Strat Pickups Aged White Set of 3

These are 'Hot' alright but they sound great clean, just the slightest growl which sounds sweet. Add some gain and you're somewhere between a single coil and a humbucker. I haven't tried the bridge pickup as I've got a HSS pickup configuration (single coil in the neck, humbucker in the bridge, it's the law). These Fender Hot Noiseless Pickups are great for blues rock but you're not going to sound like BB King with them. Quacks aplenty from the middle, middle/neck positions. The one flaw I've found with them is they don't respond to pick attack. Pick softly, pick hard = same. Not tried them in a gig/rehearsal yet so can't say how noiseless they are but as they're Fender I assume all is well. Sensible flat poles mean these are great for flatter than vintage fretboards. Pricey but good pickups for those looking for a bit more meat from their single coils. 4/5
