In 1982 the western guitar market was shocked into submission. Never before had it seen instruments of such quality from a Japanese builder. Tokai had come to town and had changed the entire perception of the guitar world forever!
We are very pleased to be able to offer for sale this brand new Love Rock LS380, the flag ship Les Paul guitar in the Tokai Catalogue. The guitar is totally new and straight from the UK Tokai distributor.
The LS380 is of a superlative specification featuring the very best materials and Japanese craftsmenship. Appointments such as a AAAA flame Maple cap on top of the finest grade Mahogany are pretty much the zenith of Les Paul materials. The choice woods shine through in the guitars natural tone, loud, bright and nicely resonant which transfers perfectly through tube amplifiers.
The fingerboard is Jacaranda which is silky smooth for effortless playing. The neck of the instrument also features the deep set neck joint giving the instrument improved sustain.
Attention to detail with the other appointments of the guitar are key, with Gotoh tuners, brass saddles and aluminium tuners, bone nut all add to the overall playing experience, keep the guitar in tune and improve the natural resonance of the guitar.
Pick ups are Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humuckers producing a lovely vintage accurate tone. Plenty of bite is available in the bridge position with a switch to the neck providing "THAT" creamy sound we all love.
