For two decades, the legion of RG warriors has grown like a virus, thrusting the RG to the head of the metal pack. Fast, flat necks, rabid pickups and double-locking trems combine to create sonic demons from beyond the world of mortals.

The cheapest guitar in the prestige range to be fitted with the DiMarzio pick ups and the latest Edge-Zero tremolo system. Featuring a solid Basswood body the RG2550Z has a nice resonant tone which translates nicely through to a huge plugged in sound.

The pick up configuration is HSH switchable with the 5 way selector allowing you to use each pick up on their own or mix in the neck/middle or bridge/middle respectively for a wide range of tones. The bridge pick up is a pokey rock pick up, perfect for crunching tones and will clean up nicely with the volume rolled off. The neck pick up is fat and warm while still packing plenty of punch. The middle pick up is crystal clean which is ideal for shimmering chord work. Ideal for rock styles, the guitar is versatile enough to handle a range of styles however. No matter what style you are into - the guitar is a deam to play.

The main controls of the guitar are dead simple, with a global volume and tone - very responsive with smooth roll off/on.
