Hagstrom Viking Deluxe Electric Guitar - ASB (Amber Sunburst)

In 1958, Swedish-based Hagstrom started manufacturing electric guitars.
Their first guitars were covered in sparkle pearloid celluloid, an ingenious use of materials previously used in their accordion production.

Now, 23 years later, the legend is back:
The new Hagstrom World Vintage series recaptures all the original Hagstrom features, is built to the same stringent quality standards, and has that same unique tone.

The World Vintage Series relies on a unique sourcing and manufacturing concept. Both the raw materials and parts for this new series come from first-rate suppliers and are assembled to create genuine Hagstrom guitars, with tone and quality being top priority. All designs are created by Karl Eric Hagstrom personally, the wood comes from Canada, and the hardware is purchased from top US and Korean suppliers, while pickups are developed in Korea according to K.E. Hagstrom’s exact specifications.

The Viking Deluxe model is an amazing semi hollow body design that is instantly recognisable. The Viking's pedigree is continued through it's construction materials with a Maple body as is traditional on this style of guitar. In addition, you also get a Canadian Maple set neck topped with Hagstrom's own unique "Resonator Wood" fingerboard which improves sustain and the tone of the guitar. (See Below).

Other unique features of the guitar are the H Expander Truss Rod which helps get the action nice and low and keep the neck thin due to it's inner strength.

The Viking is a killer blues machine with looks and playability that are beyond all expecations - all for a very competitive price!

Viking Deluxe Special Features Explained

H Expander Truss Rod
All new Hagstrom electric guitars include the company’s patented H-Expander truss rod. Providing tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world’s fastest playing guitar. Ensuring accurate tuning, Hagstrom’s exclusive 18:1 gear ratio machine heads are also included on all electric models.

Maple Necks
Hagstrom uses only the finest select tone woods and figured wood stocks to enhance the sound and beauty of each instrument. North American Hard Rock Maple, arguably the finest neck wood and used by the best luthiers world wide, further enhances the playability, durability and bright articulate tone.

Resonator Wood Fingerboards
Resinator Wood is a wood composite material that is homogeneous in nature and is more stable than any standard wood product. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots. It has an articulate sound like high quality Ebony without the problems associated with Ebony.
