The Fender American Vintage '62 Custom sports a double bound Alder body which sets it apart from the Butterscotch Blonde 52 style instruments. The '62 also features a rosewood fingerboard, originally adopted due to maple boards tendancy to show wear, quickly grew in popularity due to the added tonal nuances a rosewood board provides. '62 is regarded as being a classic year for fender instruments. Now you can get all the features and tone in a new instrument thanks to the American Vintage series.

The neck on this guitar is a maple C shape neck with rosewood fingerboard. The radius is a 7.25 inch radius which is relatively rounded which makes chording work an absolute joy and true to the retro styling of the instrument.

The guitar is fitted with excellent '62 Telecaster pick ups which are lovely mellow pick ups which allow you get all those famous glassy sounds. The pick ups can be switched between with the three way switch. You can get the biting output from the bridge pick up, the neck pick up in the middle position which is a brighter circuit which is wired in to the tone control. The final switch position is the neck pick up straight through which has that lovely warm neck tele sound.

The guitar also comes with it's own fitted hardcase as standard.
