ESP LTD EC1000 Electric Guitar - Vintage Black (VB)

The LTD EC-1000 from ESP is part of the LTD Deluxe series guitar range.

The EC-1000 is based on a classic shape with more modern styling.

The guitar features 2 x EMG Pick Ups - the 81 in the bridge position is a high output pick up which is lends itself perfectly to lead guitar as it will drive tube amps fairly hard making it an excellent choice for power rock and roll and heavy rock.

The 60 in the neck is another exceptional choice for heavy rock styles with bright attack and high output the pick up allows the guitar to crunch through the mix on stage lending itself well to rhythmn playing. In fact, this is the same pick up as you'll find on James Hetfield's signature ESP models!

Other appointments include the Earvana compensated nut which aids intonation on the fretboard which is a nice addition. Tuners are excellent Schaller Locking tuners and the instrument will hold tuning well.

This guitar features all the hallmarks of an ESP LTD rock machine. A lovely fast neck, brilliant styling and excellent pick ups all at an attractive price point.

Some of the special features of this ESP LTD Guitar include:

TWO-WAY ADJUSTING TRUSS ROD
Most of our instruments are built using a 2-way adjusting truss rod. Unlike a traditional (single-adjusting) truss rod which is still commonly used on many other manufacturers' instruments, our truss rod is adjustable both clockwise and counter-clockwise. With a single-adjusting truss rod, once you loosen the nut all the way, that is it. You are left with no more adjustment – this can leave your instrument unplayable if the neck cannot be adjusted properly. By using a 2-way truss rod we have eliminated the possibility of that ever happening.

EARVANA COMPENSTATED NUT
Esp was the first major guitar manufacturer to feature the earvana compensated nut on some of its most popular models. By compensating each string's length at the nut (similar to how a bridge saddle is compensated for intonation) you will notice much more accurate intonation across the fretboard, especially towards the open chording area, where this problem is most common.
